Does Google Discriminate Against Adult Sites?

My sex blog is not being spidered or updated. My non adult stuff is still updated. Just cause I blog about Paris Hilton & Natt Chanapa? Some of my other entries are just diary stuff, so I think maybe Google is discriminating???

How long your blog has been up yet?

1. You might be sandboxed.

2. Google Ads doesnt like adult much. But the search engine spiders everything.

Just get a new domain...

I'm thinking of just getting a new domain name and reloading. Anything to avoid going back to Burger King.

(blog up a month or so, been going down in rankings since day 1 when it was #1)

Didnt you just read what i said?
You got sandboxed
A domain would be worse.

INever 02-28-2005 10:41 AM

what is sandboxed?

I know this belongs over in the nooby section but I've never been able to figure out what sandboxing is??? Why is erasing and starting a new domain a bad idea? And what is sandboxing?

INever 03-02-2005 08:05 PM

why would a new domain be worse...

if i adjusted the content so it wasn't exactly the same, deleted the old blog and get better links ---maybe i won't be sandboxed this time???

When the Googlebot picks up (spiders) a new site/page their algo tries to compare it to content it already has - if it looks like your page is filling a need, chances are you will get listed and ranked well.

However, if the algo sees it as "same old, same old" (there's already 20000000 other sites about "Paris Hilton sex tape" and you're not telling us anything we don't already know), you're not going to rank well or possibly not even get into the SERPs for the keywords you targeted.

Also, keep in mind, Google has trouble with blogs all the time, often it is unable to index them properly. I've had a few blogs rank well, then disappear altogether, then come back un-indexed, and then normal again ... it never ends.
