My Domain Just Vanished.
Has anyone else experienced this nightmare that I'm going thru. My domain name 1freeblowjob.com has just vanished. I'm looking it up whois under directnic, godaddy, etc and it comes as "no infromation available". How could this happen? Did the registar just took the name or someone stoled it. Is that possible? Any info will be appreciated. Had a great listing on yahoo too.

I noticed the yahoo listing, so I took it. Thanks !

Ouch it sucks... you should contact your registrar.
|
You might have overlooked its expiration, or worst have been hijacked.
|

Looks like it expired in December. It's now scheduled to DROP on March 6th. You may have like 1 or 2 days (my guess 1 day) to Restore this domain.
If you can't do so via the control panel, contact Enom immediately. :warning http://www.whois.sc/1freeblowjob.com http://www.snapcheck.com/browse/rede...ss_and_Economy |
Wow, good luck getting that back!
|
Contact your registrar now. Keep us posted.

I don't know how Godaddy works with its drop/catch partners. It might be worth it to contact them if you cant get a hold of Namebay. Never heard of this registrar before. Seem to be based in Monaco, and judging by their "contact us" page, it might not be an easy task to get through to them.
I wish you luck. And if all else fails, you can always catch it when it drops next week. Might cost you a few extra bucks, though -- especially since the board knows you want it. :upsidedow |

At Enom your minimum is $30 (to avoid being shutout of an auction), at Pool your minimum is $60, and it's $40 at Namewinner. GoDaddy (and its resellers) charge $18.95 to backorder, but they're usually only successful if the other services don't go after a name. :upsidedow |

good luck.. thats not easy :S ;/

I would suggest calling namebay, in addition to emailing, as time is ticking. You want to reach them while it's still in status redemption-period, not status pending-delete. It can take them a while to retrieve the name. Be aware that registrars can charge whatever they want to retrieve it from redemption, most charge $100-$200, but some charge several hundred dollars.

Hi, Your domain name is in redemption period which means that it has expired more than 40 days ago. "Reminder on .COM & .NET REDEMPTIONPERIOD status : When a domain has been deleted it is placed in REDEMPTIONPERIOD status. It is blocked during 30 days after its deletion. During this period, called grace period, the domain name is not active, it cannot be registered by another party nor transferred to another registrar. If the customer chooses to keep on using the domain name, he/she must send a request for restoration and renewal of the domain name to the commercial department. Because the Registry Operator charges Namebay for the restoration and because this operation requires Namebay manual work, this service will be invoiced to the customer. The cost of a domain name RESTORATION does not include the renewal fees which will be paid in addition to the restoration fees. Tariff for the restoration and one year renewal of a domain name: Restoration fee : 120 euro (tax not included), 143,52 euro including all taxes + one year renewal fee. Total amount to pay = 120 euro (tax not included)+ renewal fees (see our tariffs online). Your request for restoration process will be treated only upon receipt of your payment. It takes 3 to 4 days to have the domain name active after ordering the restoration." After receipt of your mail we'll send you an invoice , debit your account and restore your domain name. your contact ID is BB71523, an email containing your password has been sent at the following address [email protected]. Still pisses me off. Good luck. |

do you need your ass wiped too ?
|
I assume you got the domain back?
It's too bad they charge you so much this late in the expiry process, but restoring it might be cheaper than trying to get it back through the drop/catch game. :) |
how long ya had it??? has it propagated thru the registery yet?
