Affiliates point of view... Paycom vs CCBill

in a dillemma....

can either go with paycom... but wait like 3 weeks to get a site up.. with incorporation package... getting a tax id etc....

or can partner up and get a subaccount off of someones ccbill account and give them 10%.....

what to do... what to do.....

BigWebRev 02-27-2005 08:00 PM

3 weeks to get set-up................that's one hell of a wait :upsidedow

get your own MA.

SureFire 02-27-2005 08:01 PM

wait the weeks :)

iwantchixx 02-27-2005 09:13 PM

wait it out. It's worth it because you'll make more money in the long run.

For sure - give Karen over at Netbilling a call.

sonofsam 02-27-2005 09:25 PM

but then how much will the software and affiliate shit run me ?

xenigo 02-27-2005 09:27 PM

Paycom setup didn't take that long for me. I think I submitted my contract a week and a half ago. I already had the TaxID number though. Should be ready for processing tomorrow, not including VISA approval which they said could take another couple days.

StuartD 02-27-2005 09:29 PM

hahaha... I love the 'get a merchant account' responses... like just anyone has the 10's of thousands to just throw around for that kind of stuff right from the get go.

Kard63 02-27-2005 09:30 PM

Whats an MA ?

Doesnt CCBill handle yoru entire user database for you ? 13-14% is killer though.

10's of thousands? Hardly.

sonofsam 02-27-2005 10:12 PM

Bump..........

rowan 02-27-2005 11:12 PM

Get the corp, then get a ccbill account. Paycom is not very affiliate friendly, and giving +10% to the partner just for processing is dead money.

It is 2k to get a domestic adult merchant account but you will save about 50% in processing fees.

but once you setup a taxid / or incorporate in america arent you then liable to pay taxes on income - even tho your not in america.

what would work out cheaper for him? paying taxes in america, loosing 3% on cc fee's then paying tax on the money when he brings it into canada, or paying 12% or so and paying his canadan taxes?

foxxx 02-28-2005 01:13 AM

*bump*

anyone know the tax system well to work this one out for an international person?

shermo 02-28-2005 01:53 AM

Cascade the son of a bitch. Make sure you expedite your LLC/tax id info as well.

sonofsam 02-28-2005 01:55 AM

this is not a decision of which is better...

its.... what will work for me since i am in canada....

incorporation companies will supply a registered agent in the states.. but they wont make that agent give you his SSN number and Drivers licence number like CCBill requires

Snake Doctor 02-28-2005 02:43 AM

Paycom has affiliate software also so you don't necessarily "need" to buy tracking software.

Get your own account with the IPSP....too many possible nightmare scenarios with using someone else's

In Canada, if you pay tax in another country on income generated there, you can deduct what you've already paid from your Canadian tax bill. You don't get double charged that way.

ThumbWolf 02-28-2005 02:58 AM

I got setup w/ a High Risk MA, for $199.00. :)
