How Long After
 

How long after a domain names expires from the orginal purchase, until someone else can by it?

I'm looking at a domain that according to Network Solutions has expired on 11-11-01 but yet it's not available for purchase.

That name could be put back into the pool in 30 days or 2 years, I've been keeping my eye on a domain that expired in January 2000 and it still hasn't dropped yet.

yeah i know of a great domain name that hasnt droped you and it expired 16-Jun-2001.
i talked to the registars and they said it was a legal issue.. hrm dont know if i want it lol.

They held on to mine for 4 months before they let it go...... so don't hold your breath. http://bbs.gofuckyourself.net/board/wink.gif We tried transferring it and when that proved fruitless, we decided to wait til it expired, then they held it for another 4 months before releasing it.
