Van Gundy resigned today from the Knicks.

WTF?

Good.

Knicks are headed downhill anyway.

Now I just gotta figure out a way to get Allan Houston to come to Phoenix...

maybe if he took a paycut. I dont know of any team in the league that would want him.

i think he got fired... they letting him resign so he wont evnd up on sports section of newspapers "GUNDY FIRED!"

He wasnt fired.

They wanted him to stay.

Van Gundy wanted to resign last season before the season started, and management convinced him to stay.

It was a big deal then. Then this year they are an even worse team, management fucked up with talent, it was overdue for Van Gundy to walk away.

The Knicks stopped being the Knicks once they let Charles Oakley go. They are softer than some of the recent Ranger teams the Garden Mngt has spent so much on. That is the same braintrust that brought in Don Nelson, and then stabbed him in the back when he saw how lame the team was, and wanted to make changes. And the same Nelson who is kicking ass with the Mavs.

The Knicks stoped being the Knicks back when Starks, Oakley, Mason, and Ewing left.
