Michael Jackson: Guilty or not?
 

I'm reading about the Michael Jackson trial and this is starting to get out of hand. Seems to me they can't make the 13 year old boy look bad, so they are going after the mother. They are accusing her of prior lawsuits against JC Penney's and Tower Records, and saying saying the mother used money donated by celeberties to pay for her's child's cancer treatmean for "cosmetic surgery".

Do you think he's guilty or not?

I think he is a weirdo, but I dont think he raped the boy so innocent.

Jacko's face should be printed in all Criminology and Police Science Books next to the caption, "Textbook example of a Pedofile."

Innocent until proven guilty, still havent seen any actual proof, just allegations, and anyone can have those if it means money :)

As much as I hate to admit it I think he's guilty.

I'd say guilty, insofar as I DO believe he crossed a line.

But, I just don't think, poor, tortured, distorted, victim-in-his-own-right Michael Jackson knew were that line was.

Since these parents were not guilty of simple inattention or neglect, but of being swept up into Michael Jackson's celebrity, what is THEIR share of the responsibility?

who are we to judge? we dont know michael personally, and the only thing we have to go by is what the media has told us. Personally, I dont trust the media.

Odd. I think OJ was guilty, yet not Kobe (note that I'm not a sports fan at all).

The investigators and the prosecution totally bungled the OJ case. The Kobe deal was a case of "he said" "she said" that she screwed up by going and having sex with someone else before going to the hospital to be examined for the supposed rape.

MJ will be found not guilty if the judge allows all of the mother's attempts to sue various people/businesses (including for sexual molestation). On the otherhand, Tom Sneddon is going to pull out all punches. He's made no secret over the past decade+ of how desperately he wants to jail MJ.

We've heard of the evidence. But it hasn't been 'tested' yet through cross examination and assessment by rival experts. Once we get this discourse then we'd all be in a better position to determine guilt.

Remember--innocent until PROVEN guilty.

Another reminder: PROOF beyond a REASONABLE doubt is a very high threshold and is not to be taken lightly. It means stepping outside of one's preconceptions ....

Actually we've only heard of supposed evidence. We've heard accusations that were "leaked" by whomever for whatever reason. Accusations that are going to be very hard to prove beyond reasonable doubt.

I'm afraid you're right. The family can later sue in civil court and win even if MJ is found not guilty in criminal court.

I don't know enough yet to make any judgement. I also haven't followed the case at all as I don't watch tv.

Is Jackson weird? Yes

Is he irresponsible and stupid for sleeping the same bed with strangers' children? Yes

Does he molests boys? I don't know

If GFY represents the general public, the public has already sentenced him. But the law hasn't. Let's hope the legal system works and makes the right decision.

We need more than accusations, heresay, and preconceptions to make a judgement one way or the other.

Maybe guilty, or maybe not.

dito. if you can believe a documentation i saw some time ago in tv, he tries to have his childhood nowadays becaus he was something like "a smal adult" when he was only some 5 years old: performing everywhere as part of "the jackson five", interviews in tv, a quite curle dad...
but what he had done exactly with those little boys in his ranch and what where his reasons for doing so, we will probably never know.
as said above: money plays also a big part in that trial

Unless there is evidence we havnt seen yet I doubt they can get to "beyond reasonable doubt".

If they do have it (the evidence) then I expect an insanity plea would be his best bet. Just about everyone knows him as "Whako Jacko".... Thats got to be a good start.

When I hear "Billie Jean" every now and then I'll stop to think about what he currently looks like and how he spends his free time sleeping with boys in his bed - and I have to laugh.

im sure hes guilty one way or another of being a pedo. but I think the parents of this kid scamed up the whole thing.
