IBM, Zend Team to Popularize PHP

IBM, Zend Team to Popularize PHP
    Full Story: http://xbiz.com/news_piece.php?id=7627

IBM made a bold move recently by throwing its weight behind PHP, an open source embedded scripting language that is commonly used by adult website developers. Through a recently sealed deal with Zend Technologies, a Cupertino, Calif.-based PHP provider, IBM has laid plans to create Zend Core.

PHP is already immensely popular with adult webmasters.

That's great news for open source and will definitely push new and cool options for PHP (such as SOAP being better supported with PHP 5).

It's also horrible news because more people will now try and build websites with PHP before fully understanding HTML or JavaScript. <rant> I hate working with people who think their google-found MySQL connection php code makes them any kind of developer when they don't even know how to swap an image without a canned Macromedia Dreamweaver function. </rant>
        Your post count means nothing.
