Are you sure about that? I know when interviewing for a job, it is illegal for the employer to ask about prior arrests, they can only ask about convictions.

That's because the arrest is eventually squashed because the conviction is never discovered. They only care about the conviction, because in order to have a conviction, ar arrest must occur... I think :1orglaugh
