In my town at least :( Of instant millionaires. Even with the lawyers taking out 30-40 percent that is going to leave several hundred people with 3-4 million each.
I am dreading the onslaught of overpiced SUVs on our streets.

Lawyers were envolved so as you may guess, they did it the American way they sued someone and the company settled.

Bitching that there will soon be several hundred people who instantly have anywhere from 2-7 million dollars a piece in a city that has a medium income of 30-40k a year. I just know that there will be a stupid buying spree of big ass SUV's to get in my way now.

Actually i have`a true story something like this.

I was in a city in texas and eating dinner at a restaurant , when suddenly the air raid sirens went off. Nobody thought much of it , and kept on doing there thing. So near the end of dinner there alot of sirens and stuff going by on the road , and as we leave theres a checkpoint on the road and the cop tell us we cant leave the city and to go back and find a hotel to stay at. ( something about a gas leak at a refinery )

So the next day a guy knocks on our door of the hotel room and its a lawyer representing one of the big gas co's and he has a disclaimer form and a checkbook out.

Says sign the paper so they cant be sued and we get a couple grand each.

I was kind of groggy and didnt think it through, because i would have asked for double seeing as how he was so eager. But i never got sick and got some free money.

Turns out the gas release wasn't as bad as they thought and maybe didnt even blow in our direction , but they paid everyone off who was in town that day. It wasnt a big city but a few thousand people at least

All due to a highly suspicious lawsuit against a hospital, people poured out of the woodwork all claiming they had an unneeded surgery. Hospitals just do not do 300-400 unneeded heart surgeries in a fairly short period of time.
