Digital Camera survey

Post your favorite digital camera that you like to use!

1) The name of your camera,
2) and why its your favorite! :thumbsup

MikeXAMO 02-24-2005 07:00 PM

I'll start off...

Nikon D100
because the results are amazing, and it feels so good in my hand!

Jayo 02-24-2005 07:01 PM

I have a Digital Rebel myself

wargames 02-24-2005 07:02 PM

Sony Cybershot. It's reliable and easy to use.

DWB 02-24-2005 08:07 PM

D70 - because it feels good in my hand and it produces great pics. it's also easy to learn and shoots great even in auto mode (for us cam dummies).

reynold 02-24-2005 08:11 PM

I like Canon the best one I had.

Adam-EB 02-24-2005 08:13 PM

Sony F-828, because it's easy to use, is fairly fast, isn't too big or bulky when shooting out and about. It's an 8 MP with a decent zoom, and uses compact flash now as well as the Sony Memory Sticks.

kmanrox 02-24-2005 08:56 PM

Casio Exilim, because its the size of 4 credit cards glued together and it doesnt make my pockets bulge... can take it anywhere easily

Slick 02-24-2005 08:56 PM

I have the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W1

I like it because it takes nice high quality pictures, it has a nice big 2.5" LCD, it's pretty compact, and 5.1 megapixel :) You can't beat it.

newbreed 02-24-2005 08:58 PM

Nikon D70
Becaue I like Nikons and this was the next step up from the 5700 we were using before. I love th DSLR features also.

rowan 02-25-2005 10:31 AM

Canon 300D/Digital Rebel (now superceded by the 350D)
Entry level DSLR with a great pic quality.

thaifan99 02-25-2005 10:37 AM

Nikon also here

CheeseFrog 02-25-2005 10:43 AM

I have a Canon EOS-1D MarkII with a Canon 24-70mm 2.8L lens and 550EX flash. I got this rig because [sarcasm]I like a point & shoot camera that's small, lightweight, easy to use, and fits in my pocket.[/sarcasm]

NETbilling 02-25-2005 10:43 AM

One that does not fall in the water when getting off of a catamaran in Jamaica

:-)

Mitch

Basic_man 02-25-2005 10:44 AM

Okay, I have a Canon A95, 5 MP.

Why I love it ? Cause it's the best camera for this range of price (less than 500$ CAD). And Canon's cameras rock !

sickkittens 02-25-2005 10:50 AM

Canon Powershot A95.

It's more than enough for me.

PrivateIvy 02-25-2005 10:55 AM

I have a Nikon Coolpix 5700 with a Nikon Speedlight 600. It has done awesomely, but I'm selling it and upgrading to the D70 as soon as I find a buyer :angel

Our new Canon EOS-20d.
It's my favorite because it's super fast. It makes posing for pics a lot more fun!

Kman - can you post a couple of samples from that cam?

TheMan 02-25-2005 01:02 PM

Speaking of digiatal cameras... Can some people look here
http://v6.arsrewards.com/
And tell me what digital camera up to 7k points would be good to get?

I know nothing about whats good and whats not so some feedback would be great!

LadyMischief 02-25-2005 01:07 PM

Nikon D70. Versatile, fabulous quality, and I love Nikon. Dependable as hell.

latinasojourn 02-25-2005 01:24 PM

kodak 14n (for strobe work, high rez, allows lots of cropping flexibility so you can get multiple high quality images out of one file) drawback is this camera is a little slow, is basically an 80 iso body so you must setup umbrella lights, but it is a full-frame camera so you can get true wide angle, and works good with wide angle zooms, so you can get shots the surfer does not ordinarily see.

nikon d1x (fast location work in avail light)

on location travel camera olympus 5050---this camera is small, inconspicuous and has a very fast f/1.8 so you can shoot quick candids in all avail light---excellent natural color, will take microdrive, good for webwork if you are doing photography where you need to get fast candids and attract minimal attention---also has a wireless remote so you can wear the camera around your neck like a tourist, and hold the credit card sized remote in a paperback book, and trigger the camera for location work.

tony286 02-25-2005 01:39 PM

I have a canon 20d I like it but I miss the lens the e10 had it was fast and a great piece of glass

flashfreak 02-25-2005 02:25 PM
