Oh do not worry. The government will not directly use it to monitor its citizens. They will purchase or lease access from private companies who will monitor other citizens. That way ya know they can bypass that whole right to privacy bump.

Reminds me of that infrared camcorder sony released a few years ago that could see through clothing on accident. Had to recall all of them. Worked for an online electronics company at the time (Dealcat.com) and that was a MESS!

They may have recalled them but did not get nowhere near all of them. I still have mine that does that. Must use the UV setting during daylight conditions and it is best if it is overcast and your subject happens to be wearing a paper thin sundress with much darker colored undergarments. In an airport you're subject to physical searches - so this just speeds up the process and as far as giving up your rights... well, you don't have to subject yourself to this type screening if you think Joe Blow Guard is gonna snicker at your weenie..
