shit...i just updated the site, and was uploading it, and the "index" went to 0
and i use cute ftp, and cute ftp is stuck at 4% upload, and it keeping flashing on and off....
what the fuck do i do? How do i get a hold of AB? steve isnt on icq....

sounds like the server/host has just run out of space..what's the error message you get on ftp.

You burned up your disk space on your host. So you've got a couple options here...

1. Start deleting stuff off the server to make some room.

2. Forget uploading anything.

3. Beg the host for more space.

or...

4. Get drunk and format c:

YEP..Your host just run out of space..they'll have to add more space..it's not your account that's out of space, it's the server..They'll have it fixed..probably no one there right now.

so if i delete stuff off the server, it wont do me any good?

No... if you delete some stuff.... you'll have whatever space that the stuff you delete occupied available to you for uploading new stuff....

Delete stuff = room for more new stuff.

Tell them They ran out of Space and maybe they can clear some log files out and shit

How about posting AB related problems on AB forums? I personnaly read those threads hourly, as well as other AB staff members, or emailing us? This thread was just plain useless but if you wanted to bash AB.

We host around 800gb and people upload gigs daily, this can fillup a server pretty fast, and yes, a full hard drive can ocur. However, this barely never happen.

Next time you have such a problem go either to AB forums or AB contact list and contact one of us.

I did send 2 emails to AB, and was going to post it on the AB forum, BUT, when i went to the AB forum, i saw that no message had been posted there for 6 hours, and I figured i would have a better chance of getting some answetrs on GFY than on the AB forum
never the less, I did sent out 2 emails. I also didnt wanan register for forum, as every minute counted for me, so i just posted it here, figuring just maybe someoene from AB might be reading this.

Sounds like they forgot to purge the log files. Doesn't take long for that shit to clog up everything, and once it's purged it frees up a hell of a lot of space.

Either that or it's time for format:c
