They said they wanted to, but the animal was too close to a park where children were playing and too close to a major highway. I was really pissed as well about the killing. Now they should track down the guy who owned him and kick the crap out of him for not reporting the escape of the tiger! :(

They said that because of it's size it would have been too risky to try to hit it with tranquilizers. It was right in a residential section.

they said it would have taken a whopping 5 to 10 minutes for the drugs to kick in. :disgust

Complete udder bullshit! They stop the damn freeway if there is a fucking piece of cardboard on it, the park could have been evacuated (hello it was fucking raining how many people are at the park!) and most residents would also be inside because of the rain! Laziness at it's best. The guy that last reported seeing the Tiger was 3 feet away from the thing and the only thing that separted them was a 6 ft. rott iron fence and didn't seem to be to alarmed! This is total bullshit!
