nonetheless there's a huge ass difference in power and numbers even with nitrous, the Cl65 pulls about 600 hp and is a 175k piece of machinery that reaches 0-60 in about 3.8 secs. On the other hand a T/A without N2O has about 300hp, 325 with for the WS06 that pulls about 5.1 sec for 0-60 and even with nitrous you can't apply it all the time.

I owned a bird and they have the shittiest differentials, the shifts are WAY too long as well. On the other hand the CL65 has one of the best auto transmission on the market

Cool vid - a friend of mine is a Mercedes dealership manager and he let my buddy and I drive a 2004 AMG CL55 Spider which is a V8 turbo, 450HP - it's an unbelievable ride... and in style. AMG really knows how to juice those cars up.

Highway races are fun and all, but it really is just to give more of an advantage to the car with top end power that can't launch. I think the race would be a lot more even from a dig (even with the Benz's fancy traction control etc).
