The manager should have either lied and said they did the search and found nothing or that their policy required that the police come and do it themselves.

That was like a year ago, because the running joke for a while was "lets apply at wendys so we can sue for sexual harrassment when they strip search us!" oh well, still funny that they fell for it though. I know a guy who makes a lot of prank calls, he called this grocery store down south pretending to be a radio disk jockey from a local station & said you're on whatever their usual show was and told him to win Godsmack tickets he had to grab the next customers balls and say "you've been screwed" and he'd get the tickets. So he tells a coworker that the radio is on the phone, what he has to do, the coworker is like, "do it dude!" So this guy gets in line, he's still on the phone while he's ringing him up and says "if I grab your crotch will you kick my ass?" the customer is like, what the hell are you talking about, so he tells him about the radio show on the phone, and my friend says, tell the customer he will win $150 if he lets you do it, so he does. So the guy yells out "you been screwed!" and the customer is like, so I win $150 for letting u grab my shit right. We're all dying laughing as my friend yells back, no dude, you were both just screwed! and hung up!! He called like 5 places that night, it was classic how many guys will grab another guys nutsack for concert tickets and $150 bucks!
