What is scrubbing?
Can someone explain clearly what is "scrubbing"?
I found this: What is "scrubbing?" The object of any fraud screening system is to prevent fraudulent transactions from being processed without eliminating valid sales orders. Scrubbing is a method employed to do just that. but I don't get it all.. I know that when the CC processors are scrubbing a lot, my sales go downnnnnnnnnn. Thanks .. I really need to figure out this shit... LC (Si un Quebecois pouvait me l'expliquer vite vite en francais, ca serait nice!!) |
It's sorta like pre screening your phone calls. You only pick the phone up when you know the person on the other end is someone you want to speak to.
With scrubbing it's just like that. They wont just accept any phone call (payment). They only accept the ones they believe to be 100% without a doubt valid. This isn't a bad thing however sometimes they go way overboard with it. Atleast I know CCBill does. Hope that helps... |
that is when somone used there credit card for anal sex - they clean it real good so no infections set in.

Lots of different scrubs...depends on the company and the levels of scrubbing. Some of the things that can be scrubbed are:
Risky country of origin Risky card Too many transactions over a period of time Zip doesnt match state State doesn't match country Stolen Card Blocked Card Negative Database There are kinds of shit that can be scrubbed. Different companies use different levels. |

CCbill scrub far too much. When I left them for Verotel my sales doubled and three years later they are still firing. Thank god I don't get those dreaded decline emails anymore... :winkwink:
