What to do in Hawaii?

We're heading there in late April. This will be our first trip to Hawaii, so is there anything that I should make sure I see or do while there? We'll be staying in Honolulu, right near Waikiki Beach, but we decided to rent a car as well to see the rest of Oahu.

Also, are there any good places for scuba diving there? We'll need a place to rent all of the gear, though, because we're not bringing all of it with us. Too much to carry.

Make sure you post provocative pics of yourself in your bikini. Dont forget the drunken nude pics as well!

On Oahu? Or should we go to a different island for that?

I've never surfed before, but I plan on trying. That should make for some good pics/video.

Uh, they are going to Oahu, not Kauai.

Here's a few things to do, I was just there two weeks ago.

Snorkel at Hanauma Bay
Hike Diamondhead
Have lunch at Dukes and dinner at The Shorebird (Both on Waikiki beach)
Go to the Mai Tai Bar (Waikiki - Royal Hawaiian Hotel i think)
Spend a day and drive to the north shore, lots of places to pull off with nice beaches and no crowds.
Go horseback riding and atv at Kualoa Ranch, beautiful place near the north shore where they filmed Jurassic Park.
Check out one of the many activities boothes if you want to parasail, jet ski, hike, kayak, dinner cruise or luau

Thank you. I'll be sure to jot these down and take with me. Do you happen to know if there are places to rent scuba gear there?

Sosa 02-23-2005 02:22 PM

250/person for a 50-55 min helicopter ride? damn.

MrJackMeHoff 02-23-2005 02:26 PM

You could stop by my place and party with us if you like.. We got one of the best Paradise-like spot Oahu has to offer here.

I think it would be worth it. The one link I was given is more like $150 per person, but we'd have to fly over to Kauai first, which is another $150 per person round trip.

MrJackMeHoff 02-23-2005 02:56 PM

Or not.. Oh well I tried..

Good suggestions. Keep in mind that Hanuama Bay is closed to the public every Tuesday. :2 cents:

My sister's family is there now. Staying at the Prince Kuhio Hotel, one block from Waikiki. The plane was half full when they went over! That's an amazing deal in itself. Lots of scuba available for ya! :thumbsup Enjoy yourself.

We're staying at the Radisson, just off Waikiki Beach. We decided to rent a car to tour the island and check out North Shore. We'd love to go diving while there also, I bet it's beautiful underwater.
