NEW YORK, N.Y. - A New York Daily News investigation has found that newsstands and corner grocery stores have been selling prepaid Internet porn cards to minors. They should be glad the minors were buying the cards, since the paid content is likely more tame than much of the free porn out there on TGPs, P2P, etc.

Speaking of porn ... would a parent rather have their kid visit rotton.com and ogrish.com ... why that stuff is ok for minors is totally beyond me, but then this is America we're talking about, but I digress.

This is bad as well. For instance, I'm going to connect my 10yo son's computer to the Internet. But(!!!) first of all I have to install ICRA on his PC. Personally I don't want him watching the porn.

There was a post about it here yesterday, Brad Gosse who is on this board from time to time owns the Concept, and licensed it to a US distributor.No matter how hard you try to prevent it, some under age kid somewhere will buy cigarettes, booze or porn.The story broke on Regis yesterday. This is my product in question and I am not happy that any retailers are selling my product to minors. However it is impossible to police this kind of activity no matter what measures we take to prevent it.

We have contracts with our distributors and retailers that prohibits the sale of our cards to minors. However we can't be everywhere at once to see what retailers are doing.

Just like cigarettes, porn sometimes falls into the hands of minors. It's not like we market our products to children.

If you post galleries to TGP/MGP sites with hardcore content you are just as guilty of distributing porn to minors as anyone.

as previously said sites like rotten.com and ogrish should be shut down, anyone who wants to see someones head being sawed off is fucked up in the head.

My own .02 is that I have a problem with minors accessing porn for the simple fact that they *may* come to see women as objects that never say no and let you do to them whatever you wish. Not only do they let you give them anal sex but they just love when you cum on their face.

I know I sounds like a prudish psychology-wannabe over-analyzing it but if a teenager's first exposure to sex is through porn, and if he keeps seeing only porn tell me that it can't impress upon him that porn is the way sex is supposed to be and that it is only healthy? In any event, agree or disagree, these shop owners giving these cards to minors should be fined heavily and have the cards removed from the store. It's obvious they were just trying to make a quick buck and that is truly sad.

You have made some very valid points here.

When we were kids the porn I was exposed to was Penthouse spread shots and maybe a Hustler lesbian scene or 2 in print. Nowadays the free porn available to any kid with a PC and web access is very explicit and raunchy compared to the porn available when I was young.

It's funny though how an isolated incident of kids buying porn made the front page and multiple television news channels last night. Every day I drive by the high school in my town I see kids killing themselves smoking. IMO this is a much bigger problem than porn exposure.

Retailers sell cigarettes to kids all day long but they never make front page news for doing so.

I dont get certain age limits though. If your 18, you can get recruited in the Army and go overseas and kill people for your country - but you have to wait 3 years to enjoy alcohol legally. In most US states you have to be 16 to drive (get a drivers permit) - thats a huge responsibility ..... but you have to be 18 to watch two people suck or fuck?

I think i was around 9 when i first saw porn - it was cartoon porn, mind you. Some kid in my school had this book with a bunch of famous comic characters redone porn style. I was in AWE. Ever since then my quest began for more porn. And I would find it with my friends in the most weird places, usually in wooded areas - lol. The biggest and best find was when me and a friend was walking in back of a gas station, for some reason we looked in the dumpster and found literrally 300 hardcore porn mags for almost every fetish - someones prized collection, dumped.
