Any rum drinkers in here?
 

I have been drinkin captain for awhile, tonight I sprung for the private stock and it is fuckin awesome. My question is what are some good rums? I dont want the extremely expensive stuff. I drink frequently so I prefer not to get to high in price.

Try Bacardi dude, is very good, my favorite is Bacardi Limon,

Brazilian "Caninha 51" is a good one also, but hard to found, awesome caipinha

And don't miss the opportunity if you see any Colombian "aguardiente"

Crown is a combination of canadian whiskey's I believe

Myers Rum is my favorite... dark rum, good flavor.

I think you can't say that any rum is a good stuff if you are drink it with coke together...

well, you have a point there but I drink some stuff mixed that taste good alone too, I just prefer it mixed.

yeah, Crown is good. I like whiskey too though. I guess those are really the only hard alchohols I like, Whiskey and Rum. Cant drink vodka straight, Hate gin, cant drink tequila anymore.

bacardi 151 is the one for me... a smooth overproof 75% rum :thumbsup

yeah, 151 is good.....if you wanna blow fire. Well, that or everclear.

You might want to try Flora de Cana, its a Nicaraguan rum that can be found in the states (mostly in Cali, AZ, Florida etc..), try to get the 7 year although the 4 year is good too. Another great one is from Cuba, but you can't get in the states, Havana Club, they make an incredible especial that will blow you away (my fav). Other great rums are from Hondorus and Dom Republic, and they can be found super cheap. Bacardi does makes a really great bottle of rum, although i don't think you can get it in the states, and its expensive, its a limited bottling of some 10 year old or more, i know in the bahamas its $90 USD a bottle... but its good ;)

People always rag on Bundy Rum. I quite like it, and it's definitley unique as far as rums go. I like the black label and the OP. But hell, i'll drink the regular stuff if it's all that's available.

Havana Club of course. And Ron Caney. But probably your president won't allow you to be "free" enough to drink these awesome rums in your house.
