Did you see my post in Q & A about British law? That's my first real concern with starting out here...

I haven't seen it but I will check it out. I find things are rather unclear at the moment.

Things are changing...recently sex shops hve been allowed to sell hardcore videos. I really have the feeling that in the following years things aregoing to relax even more.

I try to keep to softcore sites. For one thing they sell better and also it just feels like I am taking less risk of stepping over the boundries.

All of my sites are on hosts outside of the UK. I know this doesn't really mean all that much but makes me feel better.

From what I have seen the only people that really have had trouble are those doing kiddie and animal things. Also, Jack Straw, when he was still home secretary, said that they didn't have the time to worry about internet porn unless it was extreme.

So basiclly...who knows but I'm not going to do anything to bait them.

What is your take?

I think you're right about things relaxing in this country; not only with porn, but stuff like soft drugs as well, so I think you're right, hopefully it'll continue in that vein.

From what I've seen so far, it seems quite logical to use softcore from a marketing point of view - try to get the user hot, so they go and sign up for the harder stuff.

As for servers, I do remember hearing about some guy getting done a while ago even though he had his stuff hosted overseas. Also, I have a trade reseller account with unlimited space and bandwidth here in England, so I don't really want to shell out more cash if at all possible.

All I know is that I intend to research every angle of the business as well as I can before starting a project.
