CCBill and sponsors, I have a question about cookies
Do cookies overwrite older cookies? For example, if a surfer visits a site through my id and gets cookied, then later that day visits the same site through someone elses refid, then comes back the next day and signs up, who gets credit for the sale?

not sure if it varies from program to program or not, but i know the one program im pushin with ccbill has it so that if someone clicks on my ref, then clicks on someone elses ref the next day and signsup, i get the sale for it. i only know that cuz thats what the owner of the program im pushin told me. |
I wondered the same thing. I assumed it would be the first cookie but never got a definite answer.

I asked this to CCBill once, the first cookie gets the credit.

Cool, thanks for the replies.

The last person to refer the surfer gets the credit. That's what it looks like on the cookie at least.
Referred from webmaster A. Cookie value: CLICKS2zhqFGFAhcJQ* Return to the site again but referred from webmaster B. Cookie value: CLICKS2zhSFGVQlcJQ* Go back to the site again through webmaster A's link code. Cookie value: CLICKS2zhqFGFAhcJQ* Why I went back through webmaster A's link code was just to check if there was a time variable, counter or something like that would make each cookie value unique. But there wasn't. So it looks like the last webmaster to refer a surfer gets the credit. Which makes perfect sense. |
