is there any other way Billing cheating on us?
 

hey, guys.

recently we kind of adding more traffic but the signup getting less which make think maybe our billing are cheating on us. if it were one month ago all our subscirptions are much more than now, and the traffic quality is the same.. :(

and we checked the .htaccess only points right htpassword where no extra members was added except these we know from billing, if they want to cheat us at least this is the only way for them to add members in which we can see from here, right? but still we kind of thinking billing are cheating on us maybe...

so.. guys.. with your experience, is there any other way billing could cheat us to take client's subscriptioin money away by providing them secret access to our site which we dont' know at all? or that's not possible from .htaccess and htpassword file doesn't see any extra member was added...

any assistance regardign this matter with high appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course, there are ways they could.


But get realistic about this - If, for example, someone like ccbill used an exploit to bypass your pass file and cream off the membership fees, they would be caught sooner or later.

These companies have so much to lose they simply would not try such a scam.

Look within when sign ups are down - Not at billing. Check your tours, check each link etc - Make sure everything is correct - Then look at your traffic and make sure not only is every hit a hit, but check the times surfers spend on your sites - This is where 99.9% of the problems lies - No point having 10K of traffic a day, if 95% closes the index page within 5 seconds - (for example)

There's been a pretty large Google reindexing recently as well. You may check your traffic sources for changes.
