isn't "i" the plural of "us" and shouldn't it therefore be "viri"?

virussii

rickholio 02-22-2005 12:23 PM

Stop saying "your". It's "thine".

Stop saying "old". It's "Olde" or "Auld".

English changes, and virii is in common use. Regardless of the etymology it's now a totally valid english word. Get used to it. :2 cents:

English only consists of words in a dictionary? Dictionaries usually years before adding a word into the 'official' lexicon.

I'm sure the word "homie" isn't in any dictionary, yet it's in common usage in many places. Oxford only recently added 'Doh', and simpsons has been around for a decade.
