how to watermark video clips with images
Is there a way to put a transparent logo on a video because the video clip
will only layer JPEG images and not GIFs and as you know, you cannot make transparent JPEGs only transparent GIFs. So what do I do? If the image I want to use has an outline, and I don't want a solid color background. |
What software? I imagine that with some you select the transparancy color in the video edditing app. I know it's possible, but I haven't doen it in ages... I just use text now.
|
Sure, I use Live Type to make a seperate video track file of the watermark and edit that into the movie with whatever software you are using for editing. It will be just another layer on top of the video and sound tracks.

links to any examples? (preview clips/trailer type stuff)

Inquiring minds want to know.
It seems perfectly reasonable to want to do this. |

no one has been able to show me an example or show how to do anything other than write text. I want to overlay an image file.
|
save the watermark image as a .png in photoshop and import it into a premiere pro project.

If you were using Vegas..you'd simply add a 2nd video track and insert the gif there whereever you want it and render it. Voila! |
anyone doing video editing/encoding like this?
I'm not well versed in video editing/encoding, so who has got their services/rates/samples? |
We have the services you need GUNNER.. just hit the link below and contact us and we do any video editing you like...
|
Gunner,
I guess it depends on what software that you are using. |
tracks work like layers. You can get complicated and use the green screen effect to superimpose text...or you can just use the text tool. As suggested above add a second video track and add your text to that using green screen, transparent image, or the text tool.
i use premiere pro. |
