DNS & Domains?
Someone's going to register a domain name 4 me.
I need this domain name to be hosted, or the registar service to include DNS.. Who do you recommend..Who's the least expensive for .com .. I never had my own domain other than subs & url redirects, so don't know how to set it up.. I am using free hosts, for right now.. But, more than likely, the new domain name will direct to http://spacedog.noheaders.com/index.htm Where should one go to get their domain name so that it includes domain name hosting?? If this makes sense? |

Doesn't really matter where you register it. Use the OpenSRS system though and stay the fuck away from Network Solutions. Hosting depends on... well, who you're hosting it with. Don't have a host yet? Might wanna think about that first. The host will give you the nameservers to use. If someone else is going to register it for you... (like maybe someone with hosting for it too?) then they will plug in the nameservers at the time of registration. If they are not the same ones hosting it, then go find a host, ask them for their nameservers, and go get your domain.

I am tired of the comments regarding free hosts....I did not ask about hosting..I have hosting damn it..so what if it's a free host.. I have a plan..I am not going to jump right in to the pit no holds barred..one step at a time.. First..Domain Name Two; Make Profit Three: Then Pay for hosting after needs are determined based on performance on free level! Besides..I got plenty of freehosts that I use that are fucking great..noheaders is great so far, but most of my galleries are hosted by the sponsor, so I dont need to deal with redirect & 404 & ads & shit.. Nothing wrong with free hosts! |
Okay... if you already have a host, then ask them what their nameservers are and go get the damn domain already!

www.godaddy.com has domains for $9/year or something like that the cheapest i've seen, check my sig if you need a paid host.

Maybe was a shitty registrar not capable of dealing dot sex extensions yet.... ? I have no idea.
