Webmaster Q & A... Myths and realitys of accepting on-line checks.
It always amazes me how many paysite owners don't offer online ACH (online-checks) as a payment option. There are millions of Americans who either don't have credit cards, or will not use them on the internet. You can tap into this entirely new revenue stream just by offering ACH as a payment option. It is safe to assume that you could add 25%-35% in additional revenues on your existing traffic!
Now tell me, why are you leaving money on the table?! :helpme Let's get some Q & A going on here... I'm sure many of you have concerns and reservations about online checks... Let's hear them! :warning |
I am leaving money on the table because I keep forgetting to send my contract in...lol
Today Ben, today. :) |
What if a customer uses a check and that check is no good, do i still get charged the fee for processing?
|
Pete,
That depends on your processor. With WTS (ACHdebit), this is not the case. We only charge our processing fee's on collected monies. This gives us like interests with our merchants. Simply put, we don't get paid unless you do! :winkwink: ------ newbreed, lol. Sounds good bud. I'll keep an eye out for them. :) ------ Anyone currently not accepting checks care to comment? I come across sites daily that don't have a "Join by check" option. I'm sure there is a good portion of the GFY community that this apply's to as well. Speak up! What are your reasons for not taking checks? I'm curious. :) |
WTS. Good people. Class organization.

At least 70% of our check sales bounced 3 days after the surfer was able to enter the member area. We simply got tired of giving away freebies and quit offering checks as an option

Ach cost me more than it makes me. I removed that shit a while ago.

Had over 50%+ bounces, bad checks so decided to stop use it all together as many other site owners. Until thats better i guess Checks are out.
|
We have been using WTS since 1998. Anyone not using checks is leaving $ on the table. Plain and simple.

Colin, Brad.
Thanks for the kind words. :thumbsup Quote:
The amount of EXTRA income you make by offering checks more than makes up for it! If you don't mind me asking, how many signups a day do you do? It amazes me how many webmasters are afraid of a surfer getting a "free ride" and don't take check signups because of it. None of the big programs have stopped taking checks. Maybe you should think about why that's the case. :2 cents: |
