Which Hosting Company will Match My Current Foundrynap Server?

I currently have a server at Foundrynap and I need to relocate for obvious reasons.

My server is 20 MBit with 80 gigs, 1 gig ram, Pentium 4 2.8 Ghz at $500 a month.

Who can provide this or something similar to me?

JFPdude 02-21-2005 04:52 PM

Your asking for 25 dollars a mbps with no server fees.

Good luck. Understand why he's almost out of business now ?

d00t 02-21-2005 04:53 PM

You do realize that he could give incredibly cheap packages due to the fact that he wasn't really giving you what he promised, right?

I'll give you a great deal on premium quality bandwidth with premium quality support, but I'm not going to whore out our services because a scammer gave you an unrealistic deal. The old adage is true, you get what you pay for.

I just hooked myself up with Cogent and I am currently making a website for it and called a few people to do technical support for me. You will be the first customer that I will have, relating to my service that doesn't have a site yet. The datacenter is in Chicago Illinoise.

I will give you your preferred OS along with your desired control panel FREE as a first customer.

EDIT: Include everything you require. I will not bar or meter your bandwidth.

With prices like that I'm not surprised that Foundrynap is basically out of business.

Thats why you always do your reseach before changing hosts.

Research does not and should never include only talking to gfy members

Consider yourself already out of business.

You can't even spell the state that your datacenter is in.

Manansala 02-21-2005 05:15 PM

Bah, it was an offer. It's not like anyone's matching anything. Foundrynap was labeled a scammer a few miles back. Search threads.

I think that dude just scammed.

2 things worked against you on that offer:

1. your not even in the country that your offering servers in which means your reselling the servers and I would have to question the customer support the first time a power supply fan goes bad or a network wire.

<rant> bah WTF am I talking about those things never go bad </rant>

2. your offering cogent which has latency problems and blocks your customers from reaching about 13 to 15% of their audience.

<rant> the number is more like 20% but I'm being generous here </rant>

3. who the fuck are you except someone that annoys us by bumping up old threads?

:angrysoap

Typos in regular conversation posting can be acceptable.

Typos when you're trying to get new business is unacceptable, especially when you have no reputation and no clients. You can't afford to look sloppy. It reflects your overall business practices. Sloppy posting, sloppy communication, sloppy service.

Your posts represent your brand, and now your brand is slop.

Hehehe it was. If he emails me I will reply with "Please do not ask for something more for something less."

:thumbsup

It can't just possibly happen. He moved from his current plan and he will move again if he sticks with his plan.

Manansala 02-21-2005 05:25 PM

Drop it. I don't have hosting. Sheeesshh!

tungsten 02-21-2005 05:28 PM

dont make the same mistake again, you may be saving money but you will lose so much more in the long run

I'm not emailing you.

Any other hosting offers similar to my current plan?

QualityMpegs 02-21-2005 05:33 PM

And if you are not interested in matching my current plan, go ahead and give me your offers for 20 mbit.

Sparks 02-21-2005 05:33 PM

I can make you a good offer.... not that cheap, but a damn good offer. Hit me up so we can talk...

I still cant understand how anyone can offer a package like this and stay in business, (i guess they arent staying in business) We buy tons of bandwith and find it hard to believe that a hosting company can charge that little for the bandwith and server plus support. It just doesnt make sense, we were going to start offering hosting for smaller companies but with these prices we would be out of business quickly.

Pornopat 02-21-2005 05:53 PM

I hear pibcash offers free hosting....

JFPdude 02-21-2005 05:58 PM

do yourself a favor if your looking for price and reliability just hit [email protected] up.

I would reccomend mojohost but it seems you are looking for price.

you won't get the price you were paying before but I'll stand behind sly and moose.

Pretty sure this is what I am doing, along with my roommate.

KarlZimm 02-21-2005 06:33 PM

I can offer the specified server for $600 a month with n setup fee as soon as our new servers come in stock. It would be on a network with a 100% network uptime SLA and be multi-homed with Savvis, BtN, and Cogent. I know some people don't like Cogent, but if you have any problems just tell us and we'll be happy to reroute our traffic.

I can guarantee we are not a scam, feel free to give me a call at 312-602-2683 to discuss some options or visit our site at http://www.steadfastnetworks.com for more details.

As a note, we do NOT oversell our bandwidth and we own all our servers and network equipment.
