URL to 2257 Info
 

Some TGPs require the link to the 2257 info. Can someone explain me, what exactly should that 2257 url contain? Im using free content provided by a sponsor.

It should contain a web-site with your phone number, full name, social insurance number, home address and your last years net earnings

i wonder if we can just make a 2257.html page and not have to link to it, if anyone wants to verify they can just add 2257.html and check it.

Unless of course if showing off 2257.html to regular porn surfers makes your web site look more valueable.

It seems that you have to put a link on your gallery that leads to the 2257 info page. It would be possible to collect all TGPs that require 2257 and manually edit a gallery for them, should be like 2-3 galleries ( 6-9 recips ).

But I want to know, what info should be written in that 2257 page?

link to the sponsors 2257 page. if they dont have it they probably really dont know what they're doing.

Lots of versions of suitable wording, but something like this is common:

"In compliance with United States Code, Title 18, Section 2257, all models, actors, actresses and other persons who appear in any visual depiction of sexually explicit conduct appearing or otherwise contained in or at this site were over the age of eighteen years at the time of the creation of such depictions. Records required to be maintained pursuant to U.S.C. Title 18, Section 2257 are kept by the custodian of records at:"... followed by the Custodian of Records name, address and 'phone and/or email address.

I use Comus, like it, even help out with support. But this is one feature of the program I don't understand the purpose of. It was a response to the proposed 2257 changes, but as I read those proposals, this linking requirement doesn't address them. If the proposals come into law, TGP operators themselves (along with gallery submitters) will be responsible for maintaining records relating to "sexually explicit" images displayed on their site(s). There is nothing I am aware of in either the present or the proposed 2257 regulations which requires TGP operators to ensure the galleries to which they link are compliant. In any case the existence of a 2257 page does itself not ensure compliancy.

That said, if someone asks for a 2257 link, I guess you either give it them or don't submit...

I personally just give out the URL to the 2257, not link to it, since it may add to the outgoing link rule.
