It is never a good idea to break the old standard of only playing what is OK to lose. I know too many people hooked on the casinos. It's like a drug addiction with them.

NaughtyRob 02-20-2005 11:44 PM

Good move dude. Don't do it anymore.

foolio 02-20-2005 11:45 PM

the dark side will get you back

luv$ 02-20-2005 11:47 PM

Not to rub it in, but I just won $1k at the RL casino last night :)

Came home, played $50 on pacific poker and lost it all. I just have bad luck with the flop. Plus, when you win at a real casino - you get your winning right then and there, not 30 days...

Spunky 02-20-2005 11:48 PM

Smartest thing you have done :thumbsup

xxxdesign-net 02-20-2005 11:49 PM

Early last year, I was down about $15k on Party...

Slowed down, took my time... won some tourneys, and I do alright now. =)

I play mostly MTT and SNGs.... dont do much limit anymore, its too easy to lose focus, at the 2/4 and 5/10 games, since its all fish, that draw out on ya, and you have to have some stones to stick to good limit play...

Btw, you need to start with around $1200 to play 2/4 and deal with the variance.... rule is 300x bb or so. =)

RawAlex 02-21-2005 02:34 AM

SNG tables are way more fun, less stress for a single hand, more enjoyment, and you get a tournament type result in about 45 minutes. play about $20 to get good players, play under that if you want to screw with people.

I would never ever gamble online.
Offline... yeah
24/7 7 days a week but not online :)

KarlZimm 02-21-2005 02:52 AM

I still have never lost money playing Poker. I know I'm not that good, so I stay away from places where people know what they're doing :-)

The More SnG tourneys you play, the more closer you will get to being broke
:2 cents:

2pac, you have to learn somewhere... and that is a good way to learn to close.

Rui 02-21-2005 03:26 AM

I just won a few hundred on PP the other day. And I'm not going back on for a day or two.

WarChild 02-21-2005 04:38 AM

That's why I never buy in more than $100 for a night. When it's gone it's gone. I play on True Poker though, not Party Poker.
