the server runs freeBSD

basically i need a searchable database, just like some of the employment sites like careerbuilder. but this isnt for employment listings, its to create a searchable list of sites broken down by varius categories, date, name, niche, etc...

i want it to be as easy to use for the user as possible. all they need to do is select from a drop-down menu each specific value and in the end a number of choices will be displayed in an organized list.

ok, so thats the basics, who can recommend me a good script for this?
