you do know even if you blocked your caller id. all numbers to cell phones are traced through a switch.

That's alright it's not illegal to call someone. Now if you repeatedly called someone you might have a problem, but calling once isn't a punishable offence as much as they might want it to be.

Exactly i called the operator and asked her.

Some fuckwit cleaning company keeps calling me on an automated system, and she said , theres nothing illegal or wrong about it.. she said you can call and have your number added to a "no-call list" but other than that its not illegal.

Anyways i called almost all of them when they were fresh.. Most of them are answering machines or broken..

But almost all of the best ones were real.. I called a few playboy playmates. The fonz daughter. victoria gotti, i spoke with her and nick carter the longest..

I can add something authoritative here. I was a switch engineer for two cell phone companies. Every, and I mean every, DNS (Dialed Number Service) record is complete and stored in a database. This is required by Federal Law.

One of my jobs at a prepaid carrier was to write an awk script that pulled records for Law Enforcement when they needed them to track fugitives. Idiots thought that because it was a prepaid phone with phone cards, they couldn't be tracked. Remember when Tanya Harding had that other skater attacked? Well guess who pulled the records for Johnny Law on that one. That's right.

So, fris is right. The assembled packet which is passed along to the destination number is by no means the entire packet of information stored by the telephone switch.
