interesting thread on bugzilla about defeating Firefox (and other) popup blocking

I'm probably a stupid fuck for posting this thread but what the hell. Read down for some of the most interesting nuggets of info. This is mostly concerned with an exploit wherein the popup is blocked but once you click any link on the site the popups start to flow.

I've also been on sites like Espn that have no problem popping on Firefox (hmmm....perhaps I did click something before the popup occured, tho)

bugzilla thread on firefox popup exploit with code

Popup blocking still works for sites that are behind the curve but more and more are defeating the blocking and making surfing miserable again.

Yes. A very simple browser that doesn't allow any manipulation of window properties, doesn't allowing opening sites in new tabs or windows - very basic. No javascript, no activex and no flash would be good.

There are just too many doors left open at the end of the day with any decent browser.

You said it yourself. "Any decent browser". You take all that stuff out of a browser to close the doors and you are left with crap. Might as well be reading a newspaper.
