I prefer 1st

I found letting them into free chat is far more preferable, assuming the performer(s) are not asleep, bored-looking, away from the cam, etc.

Free chat with video available that does the following.
1. goes private when a paying customer starts.
2. bumps free chatters out into main lobby or niche category when room goes private.
3. free preview video goes to a commerical every 5 minutes and after two commericals it bumps them to join page.

i think potential customers would rather see a (limited timed) teaser feed/vid instead of typing.

when i was a camgirl, i HATED that "Free Chat" shit. got ALOT of guys that were lookin for free cybersex.

give them a video, get their dick hard, make'em pay.
