Check out this fantastic 3d render (human face)

aside from the skin appearing a bit too glossy and the hair looking weird, this is one of the best pieces i've seen.

Nice work, you know by any chance who did that and where can I contact the guy?

I may need some custom characters done for me for a special project.

bufferover 02-19-2005 02:28 PM

Cool and respect to the person that made

I'd say you'd need a few machines hooked up at least.
I think the star wars movies had 100 macs hooked up.. or was it a thousand?

cool1 02-19-2005 03:05 PM

Now that is cool

the films with a ton of CG like lord of the rings and such... use big facilities called renderfarms with a shitload of computers networked, working together to render frame by frame i believe. i dont know much about this though.

woj 02-19-2005 03:12 PM

ssp 02-19-2005 04:39 PM

metro art!

tungsten 02-19-2005 04:41 PM

last one is very real

gwilkins 02-19-2005 05:22 PM

The ears need to be remodeled + the brow ridge isn't right.
The hair is a bit funky but there might not be much you can do about that depending on what your using for it (no follices, btw). Try using different hair for the beard and maybe a slightly different color for the eyebrows.

+You forgot the adams apple ;)

tony286 02-19-2005 05:23 PM

Manowar 02-19-2005 05:24 PM
