Mythbusters indeed ladies and gentlemen. I call bullshit on this. If you did actually watch mythbusters, you would know that microwaves are SHIELDED and DO NOTimpart any sort of mystical radiation into your snacks.

So let me start shooting holes through this bullshit allready.

1) food that is microwaved IS NOT magnetized or charged as a result of microwave cooking. All microwaves do is make water molecules in your food vibrate madly, which causes heat. They are specifically tuned to the resonant frequency of water molecules to do so. There is no mystery radiation, it is just heating the water in the food.

2) Unknown products? what are you fucking morons on about. Microwaves just heat the water molecules in the food. That IS ALL. No chemical change. You need chemical change for byproducts.

3) hormone production shut down? what the fuck are these morons on about? I stress, when you eat microwaved food, you are just eating the hot version of what you microwaved. Nothing more, nothing less. No weird chemicals or radiation to do such things to your body.

4) residual effects from microwaved food? absolute shit agian. We allready know that microwaves do not impart any sort of radiation into food. They simply heat it by exciting the water molecules. Microwaves certainly dont create any substances like mercury.. other heavey metals that stay in your system etc... on your food when you cook it. And as I said.. no radiation.

5) minerals and vitamins broken down when the food is heated (because thats what microwaves do) well.. possibly.. but your oven, hotplates and toaster do exactly the same thing.. heat the food... what is their point?

6) no, idiots. There is no radioactive material to start off with.

7) microwaves make the food you cook carcinogenic? fuck off. The substances in the food will be no more carcinogenic after microwaving than they were before.

8) prolonged concumption of microwaved food increases cancerous cells in your blood? refer to the above. MICROWAVES DO NOT CREATE CARCINOGENS

9) for fucks sake, microwaved food does not have the ability to cause mutations/changes within the human body.

I got a microwave like everyone else but it just sits there.
Its never used. The hazards of Microwaves has been known for a VERY long time.

i usually only use mine for reheating stuff and defrosting stuff. any kind of microwave dinner or canned soup is about as unhealthy as fast food. they have enough sodium to cause you a heart attack.
