Per Signup or Revshare?

Does any of you choose "Revshare" above "Per Signup"?

Manowar 02-17-2005 12:45 PM

This question has been asked so many times before, and as usual:

It depends a LOT on the site you're promoting, their members area, the amount of content they have etc etc etc.

polish_aristocrat 02-17-2005 12:45 PM

Per sign up.

what he said

Some niches are historically longer retaining. Gay, Transexual... the more specific and rare the niche in general I think.

Good luck with either, or both :)

mortenb 02-17-2005 12:49 PM

I use about half of each.. It's nice to see instant big bucks, but it's also nice to see money from a sign-up 5-6 months ago..

Corleone 02-17-2005 12:50 PM

mix it!:)

donnie 02-17-2005 12:54 PM

Average retantion on our sites is 8 months ($29.99 per month).

So I would say revshare

MickeyG 02-17-2005 12:55 PM

revshare makes more money by a long shot. Unless you cant count on the company sticking around.

Sosa 02-17-2005 12:55 PM

my main sponsor I use revshare, just started testing another program with PPS and looking good so far.

sickbeatz 02-17-2005 12:57 PM

i like per signup cuz that way i get money to buy crack with a whole lot quicker

Ecksent 02-17-2005 12:58 PM

Holy shit! I was just thinking the same thing. When I first started, it was all about the PPS. Now, I tend to look at the site before I sign-up and decide if it will retain or not. Sometimes contacting the Program Manager and asking what their retention rate is factors in a lot. Just my 2 cents.

yellowmenace 02-17-2005 01:00 PM

niche sites generally retain better. ask to see the member's areas to see if programs try to fuck the user or help them

Bugbee 02-17-2005 01:02 PM

www.gigacash.com we pay per trial or signup. PPS is the way to go unless you find one of the really good revenue share programs that can retain at least 3-6 months...

AdultLocals_Max 02-17-2005 01:03 PM

reshare is a better choice but PPS is also good

LOL... Your average retnetion is 8 months?!!! Yeah, and I'm the fucking pope. Give it a rest. So you are saying your AVERAGE member is worth $240?!!!

We are a revshare program and our AVERAGE retention is not 8 months. 3 months is good, 4 months is great, 5 months is awsome, and 6 months is something I would be bragging about from my private island.

I'm sick of the bullshit. Get lost. Sorry my coffee hasn't kicked in, I'm normally calm.

jt420 02-17-2005 01:15 PM

I mix it up, if its a general over promoted site then pps if its a smaller niche or something like a sologirl site then revshare

iBanker 02-17-2005 01:15 PM

And another thing, liars like you give rev-share a bad name. It is an honest way to make both the program and the webmaster money. People like you just make people question it. What do you tell people when the sign up 100 members and they notice YOUR retention is 1.7 months? Tell them their traffic sucks? Tell them its an unknown factor?

Pull your head out of your ass and go promote all PPS....I mean, if you are grossing $240 a member, do a payout of $150 per member and you'd own the industry. Otherwise, shut the fuck up.

Nothing wrong with that at all...

Diversification is never a bad idea.

:-) LOL.. I love this post..

RP Fade 02-17-2005 01:51 PM

Granted PPS is more money up front. But over the course of the longhaul, some of our affiliates are making more bank with our revshare than a traditional PPS and that has alot to do with the fact that most of our content is exclusive and we take alot of pride in our member's sections.

But it's a good idea to mix them up because we do as well..
