Google FLIP - FLOP

Did anyone notice a change in google yesterday/today ?

One of my sites that gets about 3k/per day from google suddenly vanished from the top 1000 last week. The site is stil listed on google but not showing up for any searches. ( manual penalty ? ).

So yesterday i look and its all back to normal , and i'm back in the same positions i was. ?

Did google rollback its update or was it just luck of the google draw ?

Crypt 02-17-2005 12:35 PM

btw although its really sily saying this as everyone and his brother will most likely try , but i emailed google support last week about why my site vanished from its listings as its clean. Dont know if it had anything to do with it , but they did send me a response :)

LOL no i dont even have links to erocity :winkwink: .

No this is a clean site, nothing to complain about.

Must have been a rollback on the update ( although its still a tad different that it was )

pradaboy 02-17-2005 12:41 PM

I have heard a lot of complaints about this the last few days

Stamen 02-17-2005 12:43 PM

Looks like a rollback to me

Sosa 02-17-2005 12:45 PM

would be nice if they would hit my new projects, hopefully soon.

Stacey_JoinRightNow 02-17-2005 01:39 PM

hope everything will eventually turn back to normal...

pornguy 02-17-2005 01:45 PM

How many times has this happened?? Could they have some issue?

Kevsh 02-17-2005 01:52 PM

I have sites/pages vanish and reappear a few days/weeks later for no apparent reason. I have yet to figure out why as most are old enough to not be flagged for the "sandbox".

Sometimes I get the feeling Google bumps pages around just to shake up the SEO's out there and prevent anyone from earning a living off their traffic :Oh crap

I hear that. Google is treating me like a red headed step child lately.

Here is a list of datacenters feeding www.google.com
If you are on all these then you are safe IMO.

I saw a huge update yesterday. A lot of spam sites are added in google right now. I had one of my tgp myself removed from google yesterday.

Google doing some weird changes these days

Jace 02-17-2005 02:25 PM

every time there is an update I see some of my sites vanish and then reappear 3-4 days later...usually either with the same rank or higher....i think it just something about how they do their updates...
