Chris Mallick gone as CEO of Paycom

Have not read the press release myself, but this was post on another board by Bangwang and Kimmy Kim replied about it as well. He said this is all the release said. Take it for what it's worth.

Christopher Mallick has departed Paycom.net/Epoch, and is no longer its
CEO. Paycom will be managed by its founders - Clay Andrews, the
President and Joel Hall, the Manager and Chief Technology Officer -
along with Esther Martinez, who has been promoted to Chief Operating
Officer. Paycom has the most experienced team in the industry, and that
team will continue to run day to day operations.

Since 1996, Paycom has always been known for using leading edge
technology to increase webmasters' profits, and in 2005 our clients will
continue to see the type of innovations they have come to expect. In the
near future we will release a number of new features that will help
webmasters increase their profits and better manage their businesses. We
are also adding developers to our technical department, which will
enable us to increase our responsiveness to clients' needs and increase
the pace at which we release new features.

New features. EU billing perhaps?

Tipsy 02-17-2005 09:11 AM

RRRED 02-17-2005 09:14 AM

Furious_Male 02-17-2005 09:15 AM

Did anyone see this coming? Interesting.

Tom_PM 02-17-2005 09:19 AM

Interesting stuff.

rml1608 02-17-2005 09:23 AM

Hope his rehab did him well, The last I heard he had some serious issues... Clay always seemed like a good guy and treated me very well when he was head of the company. I never dealt with Chris except for him releasing some of my reserve money a couple times, and it had to be passed by him.

TDF 02-17-2005 09:24 AM

wow

Rui 02-17-2005 09:24 AM

LOL, nice try, but the similarities end in the fact that both their companies lost a top exec this week.

Clay and Joel have been at Paycom since day one, and that goes back longer than most people -- including myself -- have been in this business. They aren't going anywhere, and if you know Esther, you know how smart and competent she is as well.

While it's definitely going to be a different house with Chris not there any more, he is the only one that's gone and it's not like the people that are still there don't know how to run a business.

Rinaldo 02-17-2005 09:32 AM

Wow !!!
Holy Wow>

Manowar 02-17-2005 09:33 AM

Good luck to Chris in the future :thumbsup

GTS Mark 02-17-2005 09:35 AM

Too bad I thought Chris Mallick was a very nice guy and seemed to represent our industry well. Hopefully the new guy/girl will be just as good :)

Hey Rand, Thanks for clearing up this lill mess. Seems like people tend to be over dramatic when they hear such news.

(BTW did you know that Brad Pitt is Gay and fucking ben Affleck :1orglaugh )

People leave companies it's a fact and it will continue to happen and the reasons why will only be known by people directly involved.

Paycom is a very reputable company with great people running it.

Chris is also a very smart man which I am sure he did this for his own best.

Best of luck to both parties for the futur. :thumbsup

kmanrox 02-17-2005 10:15 AM

that would make Esther the TOP-Mexican in our industry =)

NinjaSteve 02-17-2005 10:15 AM

When people leave, enter, or switch rolls in a company some things could change (hopefully for the better) and the company can continue to grow.

I'm sure that Paycom/Epoch will continue to go strong.

RogerV 02-17-2005 10:21 AM

I?m Sure Chris and Paycom made decisions that were in the best interest of Epoch
All parties are more then capable of running the company.

Chris is a very intelligent person who I?m sure has made the best decisions for himself.
Knowing him well I expect great things from him in the near future. I?m definitely not writing him off?.

Kimmykim 02-17-2005 10:30 AM

Chris is too smart not to have his own plans, guys. Who knows why he left or what the circumstances were. I am sure that both Paycom and Chris will do just fine.

Xenophage 02-17-2005 10:40 AM

Wow, good luck to Chris and the rest of the crew at Paycom/Epoch
