Jimi Hendrix's Guitar Sells For £100,000
 

A guitar that belonged to the great Jimi Hendrix has sold for £100,000 at auction.

The 1965 Fender Stratocaster was just one of many guitars that featured in an auction dedicated to the legendary guitar player.

In an auction billed as one of the biggest collection of Hendrix memorabilia instruments, signed records and posters all went under the hammer at the Hard Rock Café in London.

That's it? Worth more.

"One of many". One that sat in a closet most of the time wouldn't be nearly as valuable as say the one he played "Star Spangled Banner" on at Woodstock. :upsidedow

The last one that I bought for the Hard Rock when I worked there only cost $40k.

But I should add that they've paid much more in the past.
