baby has not slept all day

took like one 15 min nap

shewoke up at 7 am

it is 10 pm now

should i be worried
if i lay her anywhere but on my lap or my girls lap
she will fuss but not a " real fuss "
it is just like she is starting to cry but wont get it out

could she be sick ?
No real fever

normal diapers and all that
eating normal
maybe even a lil more than normal

digifan 02-16-2005 11:06 PM

If everything is normal except her sleep I won't be too worried she can also have a bad day.. how about her teeth?

machinegunkelly 02-16-2005 11:08 PM

No crying , no shit everywhere .. no worries man ;)

How old is she ?

LittleMack 02-16-2005 11:08 PM

How old is the baby? My kids when then were under 1 had weird sleep patterns for awhile. It is probably normal.

teeth already? I think they just had the baby not too long ago.

hows being a daddy treating ya by the way?

GiantGnome 02-16-2005 11:08 PM

maybe colic. if so, have fun! try taking her for a ride in the car. that helped us a lot.

Try the baby board at Ivillage.com

Pete-KT 02-16-2005 11:10 PM

its normal my nephew is now 2 but when he was first born he would do that sometimes, just didnt wanna sleep till finally he couldnt keep his eyes open, just play with her and she will pass out

Chris 02-16-2005 11:11 PM

she is just a lil over 1 month old
she is a bit fussy
if she does not fall asleep by like mid night or so we will take her for a ride
she instantly falls assleep in the car

HAPPYPEEKERS 02-16-2005 11:11 PM

My babies sleep paterns always changed.. If she is not running a fever.. she is probably just not tired lol
babies fight sleep.

forget the colic thought. im just use to seeing crying baby threads. i would still consider taking her for a ride in the car. that should put her to sleep.

I wasn't sure about the baby's age...

reynold 02-16-2005 11:26 PM

It's normal. Babies' sleeping patterns vary from time to time.

iwantchixx 02-16-2005 11:47 PM

that's perfectly fine. mine gets up at 6:30am and crashes at 11:30pm most days,

http 02-16-2005 11:56 PM

Drive her around in the buggy, that usually does the job

Der Schleicher 02-17-2005 12:07 AM

a pediatrician's opinion will do the trick.

On the dryer works if the baby is small enough to fit in one of them car seats ,

My daughter wouldnt sleep ever at night at all , she was a real pain to get to sleep but as soon as we put her carrier on the dryer , out like a light .

we burned so much electricity LOL .

Tala 02-17-2005 12:24 AM

Sweetie, you're fine. She's just a month old, her sleep patterns will change until she finds one that's comfy.

Put her to bed, grab some headphones, crank them loud, and let her fuss it out. It's harder on you than it is on her.

machinegunkelly 02-17-2005 12:29 AM

Oh I missed that before ..
Dude if shes a month old .. thats it right there :)

Your little girl is growing up ..
At about a month they start not to sleep so much ,
