Has anyone here celebrated 'Carnevale'?
I'm not talking about the cool HBO show of the same name. I'm talking about the celebration/holiday called Carnevale, which is observed 40 days before Easter. I saw some commercial recently telling of how there's going to be this big costume party for this at this castle here in North Carolina, Castle McCulloch.
The official name of the event there is called Castle Carnevale. It is supposed to be a 'European Style Costumed Winter Festival'. I have never even thought of going to anything like this before. I think it would be an awesome experience and what better excuse could there be to dress up and party? :jester |
I hear it's crazy! :thumbsup

Great pics, thanks for sharing :) There it is a very old tradition... I wasn't sure people celebrate it in the USA at all.
