Do you guys like getting hit up on icq ? Or does it bug you when people try to sell you something on icq ?

Its equal to email spam I don?t like it

People are always bugging me to send em traffic or info.. Its a daily thing Im just used to it anymore.

But hey sometimes shit is worthwhile so...

if its a sensible conversation, yes I will talk to them. if it is spam or some other bullshit they are gone.

No spam.. But people who have a legit reason for contacting me are welcome.

matters what they send me really. Business is business. It is easy to read a msg on icq and just close it out.

no, i hate it....i block anyone that tries to cold msg me about their program

I hardly turn on ICQ anymore thanks to "account reps" spamming me and people trying to get me to help them with their code problems. ICQ is almost as dead as email.

Same here. As far as e-mail, I've filtered in the sponsors I've actually signed up with so all of the drive-by reps end up in the bit bucket. Sooo... if you're an account rep who has sent me e-mail you now know why I didn't reply :winkwink:

im tired of the "Join my new message board" spams. half the reason why i rarely use icq anymore, fuckin annoying.

ICQ spam is as bad or worse than email spam imho

I don't mind if it's people from the industry..but sometimes i get fake women nicks trying to talk and make me goto there site with a linking code.

Hehe They don't know that i'm a adult webmaster so i spam them back telling them to signup to my sites with linking codes..they never come back :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

same as email spam. bad idea. you end up doing more damage than good to your name. longevity is the key to people working with you on the net.

but it is in 99% couse of bizz so offcourse i don't mind:)

If a program owner hits me up with some cool info, that's ok. If I can't return the favor (hit THEM up) when i have a problem, I stop using them.

it all depends on the people who hit me up and on their way to do it .. if polit people have really something good to offer it's ok but as soon as they just start to get disturbing it just s u c ks .. :)

um, I'm an affiliate manager, getting hit up on ICQ is 80% of my day ;-)

I don't mind it ...sometimes i meet great people even if i don't need what there selling ..... the only thing that i don't like is when someone hits me up and doesn't get to the point .... i have to go through 10 mins of "what's up" How's it going" "what's the weather like there" ........ for fuck sake just say "hey i have this you need it ..." ... then we can talk shop ... :2 cents:

i love getting hit up on ICQ...either for biz purposes or just some chillin...it's fun!
but make it SURE that you stop bugging me once i said Im busy :)

I don't mind.....I like ICQ over email, but either way is ok for me!
