yo i love Dream Theater he plays there its my favourite band, do you have some progressive metal groups that you reccomend? i need to listen new things :)

yeah he left right before the ended the Falling Into Infinity tour. Great musician. just confined too much when playing with big tickets like DT and Alice Cooper. I think he did great work with DT. That album is one of my all time favs ever.

he also toured with kiss for a while.

check out dereks old band PlanetX. Also Gordian Knot, Liquid Tension Experiment, Adagio, Dog Fasion Disco - Committed To A Bright Future (more circus horror than progressive) and Platypus to start with.
