Sorry for the business thread. I promise I won't make a habit of it! :)

I'm busy making some Full Page Ads and Half Page Ads for my sites, and don't have a clue what other webmasters consider as a full page/half page anymore since 800x600 and 1024x768 are pretty evenly split in the surfer's monitor settings.

If I have a 590x400 ad is that what you'd expect as a full page ad or is it what you'd expect as a half page ad?

What are your thoughts on the maximum size of a full page and half page ad?

Until 800x600 is replaced as 'normal' resolution size I try to keep em that size or smaller. Sometimes scrolling vertically is ok, but not horizontally.

Yeah I agree with you, I NEVER have anything scroll sideways at 800x600. Big No-No. So, you're saying that my 590x400 would be considered more of a FPA then a HPA to you then?

fullpage add for me is 600x400, halfpage add is 600x250

Not sure how it looks at other resolutions but at 1280 X 1024 it looks very good ....
