in 2010 when online porn dies due to to much fucking free content on tgp's - it will be easier for you to find a job

I did MCSE after school in 99 but it was a waste of time. Even if you applied for jobs as server admin they didnt care about a fancy cert. They care about what you can do today.

A+ certified, Network +, and a certificate in Microsoft Product Specialist... lol

started going back to real school and will graduate from ASU in 2006. A real degree will hold more value then the computer stuff.

i think it will be useful, sure isnt a waste of time

I'm a MCSE, MCT, MCSE + I, CCNA, Network +, and I have a Bachelor in Computer Science.

Anyone whose been in the mainstream industry knows that certification is much more respected than a degree in Computer Science or a related field. A BS in a related field will get you in a management position, but to get a decent job you must have 3 years of experience. A BS in CS will count for 2 years of experience, you need to have a cert of some type to prove legitimacy. Most college classes are about 4 years behind whats actually going on in the industry. When I was getting my BS, in my networks class we were studying about Bridges, Hub, and Brouters. NOBODY uses that antiquated technology anymore.

Basically if you want a mainstream job in a computer related field, a high end cert like the MSCE or CCNA will help you get what you want much faster than a degree.

Going for a job interview without a degree is like walking around in public naked nowadays

Actually only about 25% of Americans have their Bachelor's Degree. And your not going to get a good job with just a degree.
