MCSE why did i do that
So i'm now a mcse whoop de fucking do. I fucking hate windows dont even use it for any of my servers don't plan on either.
I dont even know why I wanted to do it in the first place. Oh well, any other people here done a cert they had no intent on using lol |
Yup.. Done it.. Can help a bit in getting in getting a mainstream job of that is what one is looking for..

in 2010 when online porn dies due to to much fucking free content on tgp's - it will be easier for you to find a job
|
I did MCSE after school in 99 but it was a waste of time. Even if you applied for jobs as server admin they didnt care about a fancy cert. They care about what you can do today.

true but i guess it better then approaching a job with zippo :) it may open a door to let you show them what you got |
A+ certified, Network +, and a certificate in Microsoft Product Specialist... lol
started going back to real school and will graduate from ASU in 2006. A real degree will hold more value then the computer stuff. |
i think it will be useful, sure isnt a waste of time

Anyone whose been in the mainstream industry knows that certification is much more respected than a degree in Computer Science or a related field. A BS in a related field will get you in a management position, but to get a decent job you must have 3 years of experience. A BS in CS will count for 2 years of experience, you need to have a cert of some type to prove legitimacy. Most college classes are about 4 years behind whats actually going on in the industry. When I was getting my BS, in my networks class we were studying about Bridges, Hub, and Brouters. NOBODY uses that antiquated technology anymore. Basically if you want a mainstream job in a computer related field, a high end cert like the MSCE or CCNA will help you get what you want much faster than a degree. |

doesn't 75% of you yanks get welfare from the government probably explains that then. j/k. You are right a combination is best. However, i hold the 4 years I studied for my IT degree ALOT more useful then MCSE. degree + experience + other certs |
