Why haven't large mainstream companies owned online adult?
 

You'd think that some large companies like those in the Fortune 500 would have already sunk their teeth into online adult somehow for example, by buying out lots of successful programs, huge free sites/tgps etc. Why hasn't this happened?

Is this entire industry just chump change for them and not worth it?

DirecTV and Hotels avoid talking about how much money they make with adult PPV.

I think too politically sensitive. Most large companies have to answer to shareholders and it's not so much that the profit isn't there, it's the scrutiny that would follow.

Of course some companies like Comcast make a mint from porn on cable PPV or whatever, but notice they keep it VERY quiet.

So you think that maybe they really are entrenched in this biz already but it's hush hush. That would have been the second part of my question. I think they would definitely go under different company names so that their mainstream brand isn't attached to anything that isn't considered wholesome. Just curious if this is the case or not.
