They are closing down because the MPAA is paying them off. LokiTorrent.com pretty much took over after SuprNova was paid off, and then the MPAA bought them too. Sometimes they buy everything. Other times they buy a promise to not put up torrents anymore.

They didn't buy squat. They got a court order shutting them down.
