Escorts listing their prices on Craigslist.org

I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but in case I'm wrong, IS it illegal to post that you are "available" say in the Erotic section of Craigslist.org WITH the amount of money you charge..say $100.00 per hour for example?

Is this out & out prostitution being advertised, or can you auction yourself off so to speak as just a "friend" for a certain amount of money?

Just curious.

J-Reel 02-15-2005 12:41 AM

It's a "Donation" :1orglaugh

Just like my signup pages you mean? :)

Unfortunately most of the girls/guys are not even close to being subtle.

That's not the "Tip" :)

It depends on where you are and how you do it. In Canada escorts can list their rates in newspapers and on websites because these are considered "private" (?) but can't publicly quote prices, i.e. in a bar, on a cellphone, or even next to an open window where he/she can be seen... Pretty weird, hmm?

(Prostitution IS legal in Canada. There are a lot of restrictions to get around , pimping for instance is a serious crime... but basically it's legal.)

Unlike waiters these "Escorts" get tipped up front. Even if the service is lousy. Most of them are as dumb as bricks ,but they know the loopholes of advertising.

Oh yes, quite sure.

You can be arrested for running a "bawdy house"... i.e. using the same house/apt for prostitution on a regular basis...

"living on the avails of prostitution" is also illegal.

it is one thing to post a timeline pic on a oversaturated thread topic that has been asked a million times on here...but this is actually a legitmate question that most on GFY have not seen or answered before.....i have been here over a year and have posted here tons, and NEVER seen this question asked...when is the last time you have ON HERE

so once again

Other interesting facts about canada: Teens 14 and up are of consensual age to engage in sexual activity BUT may not engage in prostitution or anal sex.

It's also illegal to engage in anal sex in public... "in public" COULD be construed as having anal sex in front of a photographer (or even in a threesome, possibly... I don't think the law has ever been tested that far). So creating anal sex content in Canada could be legally risky.

One more interesting fact... If you're thinking about going to Canada to get some 14-year-old poontang, better think three times. You'll probably just get your ass kicked or worse.

Interesting..I would think that a free website which doesn't require membership would be considered "public". And when the women are showing their twats in attached pics, you can't help but get this jist (no pun intended) of what the ad is about. :1orglaugh

I remember Craigslist asking people to NOT post messages asking for money or using term "generous" and things like this sometime back..but yet, the erotic section especially is overflowing with ads (at least in Seattle). And I'm only reading these ads for a homework project for school. :upsidedow

Well those 'exceptions' must make it difficult for the dude to dude guys from getting their groove on then! But you can just whip it out in public and jack off eh? What the heck! :1orglaugh
