What alcoholic beverage has the lowest carbs?

? ? ? Don't anyone ask me why....

jt420 02-14-2005 04:44 PM

vodka? if your worried about carbs skip the beer unless you like the crappy light stuff.

brand0n 02-14-2005 04:44 PM

clear rum 0 carbs

capt morgans just made a clear spiced rum =]

Eric 02-14-2005 04:45 PM

Bacardi and Diet Coke. 0 Carbs 0 Sugar

sweetME 02-14-2005 04:46 PM

Grey Goose :1orglaugh

Sosa 02-14-2005 04:47 PM

vodka :)

RRRED 02-14-2005 04:47 PM

OK grey goose it is :) Now what about mixers? tonic vs. red bulls or juice?

sweet7 02-14-2005 04:48 PM

either way alcohol slows the metabolism, so low carb or not, it's fattening.

xNetworx 02-14-2005 04:49 PM

Vodka w/ soda water and a lime = zero carbs

Tonic water and redbull is like drinking a coke almost

WiredGuy 02-14-2005 04:56 PM

Grey goose, I have a full bottle on standby at the office :)

So tonic water vs. soda water... tastes the same?

Yes I'm watching the waistline a bit... lol I've never had this problem in my life but I just cut out espresso drinks completely, all snack foods that end in "O" such as cheetos doritos fritos speghettios... but I'm not giving up pasta and bread.. just paying closer attention...

After 4 hours of sleep last night and the feeling that my laptop is going to ultimately wrap its self around my head and swallow me, I'm going for some cocktails tonight.... So no one bugging me tonight!!

lloyd 02-14-2005 05:04 PM

or just diet anything. my girl always stick to vodka and diet 7, no calories/carbs in the 7, still tasted pretty good even to me.

sweetME 02-14-2005 05:18 PM

Carb or no carb, I like Grey Goose very much. Do I sound like an alcoholic?

missnat 02-14-2005 05:41 PM

Vodka & Lime ;)

Rich 02-14-2005 05:41 PM

I don't know (or care) about carbs, but red wine is the most healthy alcoholic beverage.

B40 02-14-2005 05:47 PM

Liquor is better than beer/coolers, just make your drinks strong, 50/50 mix.

There's also this low carb cooler, forgot what it's called, looks like smirnoff ice, pure source or something like that

You can buy "Diet" tonic water, it's avaiable. And no it doesn't taste the same. You can have a Vodka diet tonic and you will have 0 carbs.

Here is a chart from atkins

Jack and Diet Coke

Kimmykim 02-14-2005 06:02 PM

Tonic water tastes like ass. Soda water is a great cleaner, in case you get sloppy and spill on yourself, no stains ;)

seeric 02-14-2005 06:10 PM

actuallly drinking the topshelf vodkas and soda water really reduces the hangoover in the morning.

the sugar in all those drinks is what is really responsible for hangovers.

:thumbsup

lets not be so literal. you drink a bottle of jack mixed with coke and i will drink a bottle of belvedere with soda water and we will see who is crushed tomorrow.

do your own research. i actually talked to nutritionists on how to drink "professionally" . i am in a business where liquor is around me alot and if you are going to drink you had better learn to do it the right way or your drinking days are short lived.

friendly advice. :thumbsup

you should also drink an equal serving size of water between each alcholic beverage, you are right, the sugar isnt completely responsible, alcohol dehydrates you. i shoulda been a little more clear. im a little bit off the topic anyhow. sorry rrred this is about the carb thing, i think you have your answers o that.
