-high taxes
-stores close at 6pm
-dutch ppl are morons

Up to 60% taxes, 75% of gas price is taxes, cars cost ATLEAST twice as much as in central Europe (Importing even used cars is almost impossible due to customs+taxes).
SMALLEST 1.0 liter cars with NO accessories start at ?13k new.

That's about it. Oh, weather.. but that's a personal preference. I *HATE* winter.

In Denmark cars get taxed 300% - so most of the cars on the roads are crap because people can't afford new ones..

There was a new BMW posted on GFY yesterday.. It was about 40.000$ US - it would be at least 125.000$ US in Denmark.

There is a good reason for that.
The automobile industry have to sell their cars cheaper to the dealers in Denmark or no cars would be sold here at all. That means that other people in the EU can come to Denmark and buy the cars cheaper than in their own country and not have to pay the 300% danish tax we have to pay.

I can have a BMW X5, 3.0D for $60k here(- up to 10% discount). How much does it cost in Denmark?
